In today’s world, healthcare professionals can expect to be increasingly confronted with and play key roles in the resolution of ethical dilemmas. This paper serves to explore, in detail, an ethical dilemma relating to civil confinement and the implications from its lack of use in regard to the recent Arizona shooting tragedy.
